Standard TF-IV.Assessment and Evaluation Educational technology facilitators apply technology to facilitate a variety of effective assessment and evaluation strategies. Educational technology facilitators:

Apply technology in assessing student learning of subject matter using a variety of assessment techniques.
In my Global Education- Take a Trip part two workshop I went in details on how to assess and evaluate web quests as well as telecollaborative projects their students complete.
One way to assess student learning is by having students create podcasts or products such as a writing assignment attached to a video or KidPix drawling. Using a rubric from rubristar allows students to guide their work as it guides teacher's instruction. During the workshop I also discussed how to evaluate webquests and find ones that are authentic and enhance the learning as well as the state curriculum.
Throughout my internship I modeled how Google forms can collect data and be used more than with adults but also with students. After workshops I shared the results from the week's session so that by the end of the year when I completed a workshop on Working Smarter not Harder with Google Docs they could see how fast and easy it is to improve learning and instruction by assessment.
Use technology resources to collect and analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings to improve instructional practice and maximize student learning.
Artifact 1 Achievement Series
Anne Arundel County purchased a program four years ago to collect and analyze data. Tests such as math benchmarks are scored, analyzed, grouped, communicated with team and administration. At my school we have an achievement series/scantron expert but I also provided resources on the Wiki page for teachers. With my grade level team I was able to assist them in organizing the data and figuring out what areas of instruction we needed to focus on or extend during our grade group meetings once a week. Being data driven is extremely important at a Title 1 school. Below is the link with resources on the wiki page: http://lassalle-tech.wikispaces.com/Achievement+Series
Artifact 2 Analyzing Math Benchmark 1
After the first Math Benchmark I scanned the test, looked over the class scores and through achievement series could list the maryland standards that were missed in order by score. The questions and standards that were missed often would be reteach as a whole group. Then I was able to pull up individual scores and analyze what areas had difficulty for small groups.
I shared this template with my grade level team and helped them complete using their data. For the next month I was able to hit the skills that needed reteaching as well as extend skills that students showed strength in. The template was updated when retaught and skills were then mastered.
Apply multiple methods of evaluation to determine students' appropriate use of technology resources for learning, communication, and productivity. Artifact 1Telecollaborative Project - Monster Exchange Project In ET 630 I planned on participating in the Monster Exchange Project. Through ET 630 I understood how telecollaborative projects not only are fun and ehance the curriculum they also improve learning, communication, and require collaboration. During my Global Education- Take a Trip part 1 staff development session my staff and I explored the concept and discussed the benefits of global education. I shared a video during the workshop which sparked and understanding for a need of telecollaboration. Other articles which support these projects are located on the wikipage as well as the video. While completing the project with my class I used the resources from my project participant website. Students were able to check off their own work using the checklist and I was able to guide instruction using the rubric. Students would also use the rubric to make adjustments to their final draft which was typed in a word document. I was overly impressed with the final product of their work.
